Connection of Desigo CC and a model based CDE

ioLabs offers a smart solution that connects Desigo CC with an existing common data environment (CDE), for example Autodesk ACC BIM. This solution is ideal for customers already working within a CDE like Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or BIM 360 Docs, providing seamless workflows and enhanced data consistency. In such use case the ACC platform is used for operation and maintenance during the building's life cycle. The customer opted for the Siemens Desigo CC building management system for the facility management. All relevant functions and characteristic values of the buildings are recorded, controlled and regulated via the control system.

Wallpapers and floor plans

ioLabs offers a solution to convert CAD drawings into a format suitable for Desigo CC: background image for DESIGO CC with only the relevant symbols and associated attributes and a size of around 500kB, depending on the scope. To integrate CAD drawings into Desigo CC, it is necessary to optimize floor plans with only relevant symbols. We convert model based CAD drawings into a format suitable for Desigo CC: floor plans with for example plans for fire alarm systems (BMA) are generated with the relevant symbols and attributes (line no., detector no., detector type) for Desigo CC. ioLabs provides Desigo CC wallpapers and floor plans directly generated out of the revised Model in the ACC BIM environment. The business advantage is, that the plans are generated directly after the implementation of the changes in the model. This prevents potential errors, as the plans are actualized directly after implementation of changes in the model. ioLabs solution helps customers, who are working within an existing CDE and are looking for a tool to connect it to Desigo.

Desigo CC - linked with model based CDE

ioLabs developed a connection of Desigo CC control system and any Common data environment (CDE), for example ACC. The model is the basis for plans and images for Desigo CC. Objects (e.g. ventilation systems) can be accessed directly from Desigo CC in ACC. All objects are linked with the complete documentation, incl. inspection certificates, etc. Alarms in Desigo CC, e.g. "dP across Filter high", will create a task in Autodesk ACC for the maintenance team to replace the filter. In this way, a seemles work in both systems is possible.
