The ioLabs project focuses on developing a synchronization tool to bridge Autodesk cloud systems BIM 360 and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC). This tool is provided as a customer service for Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) companies, ensuring a seamless transition of project data.
The ioLabs sync tool supports the migration of critical project components, including BIM models, documentation history, issues, users, user rights, and workflows. Built on .Net 6 and ioFramework, it leverages the Autodesk Forge API to facilitate comprehensive data access.
One of its standout features is managing uncut project data access, minimizing errors and reducing rework despite the differences between BIM 360 and ACC APIs. Additionally, it can copy files between various projects while preserving the original data structure, which native cloud platforms typically do not support.
The tool efficiently synchronizes issues, users, user rights, workflows, and file versions, ensuring all stakeholders have access to up-to-date information for better collaboration and project oversight.
